Kiwi Can week 2 term 4

Today we went to Kiwi Can. We learnt about respect. Our catch phrase was we respect our school, we do it because we are cool. 

Our games were Snap Crackle Pop and So, Ma, Ca, Lo. 

How did I show respect today ? I was saying nice things to people like good job or nice try.

What did you enjoy ? I enjoyed playing the game because it helps you  get fitter

What could I improve on ? I can improve on by getting even fitter.

 Our lesson at a big pool was for snorkelling. We are going to matai Bay for snorkelling so we can see the wild life or saltwater wild life and coral. The hardest thing was putting the wet suit on. The man that was teach as was named Oliver.

what did you learn? I learnt that swim suits are very hard to put on.

What did you enjoy? What I enjoyed was swimming in the pool because it is warm.

What is one goal you have to do with your ability in the water? I can learn better at not getting water in my mouth.

Waitangi trip

 W.A.L.T reflect on our class trip.

On Tuesday we were at Waitangi. If you don't know what Waitangi is then I will tell you right now. Waitangi is a place in paihia waitangi treaty grounds. You do walks around the waitangi and look at old staff like boats, kauri tree stamp and carvings. Then we do an codding app called scratch. And then we had something to eat.

What did you enjoy? What I enjoyed was the drive from school to waitangi treaty grounds because I like having a talk to Rusty one of my best friend.

What did you find interesting? What I found interesting is the kauri tree stamp because when Monica Sayed three kauri tree make one waka.

W.A.L.T skim read by playing newspaper bingo. 

Today we were doing newspaper bingo. If you don't know what a newspaper bingo is well I didn't know ether? So my suggestion is search it on google. We looked at an app called iwi kids news on our device. 

What did you enjoy? I enjoyed looking at the article's because some are interesting.

What did you do well? what I did well was searching for article because it is cool to look at it.

Kiwi can week 8 term 3

 

W.A.L.T play games and be good role models.

Today this week we went to Kiwi Can. If you don't know what Kiwi Can is it's about where you play games and we do catch phrases. The games that we played today was high tide low tide, impossible connections, and GKQ witch sands for general knowledge questions. The catch phrase was. We are honest we are true we take ownership for what we do. Today we were learning about Accountability it means being honest and saying the truth.      

What did you enjoy? I enjoyed playing the games with my friends because I like hangout with them.

What did you find challenging? What I found challenging is playing high tide low tide, because it was confusing. I wasn't sure what to do.

My geometic art

 

W.A.L.T upload our art work and write about it.

In class we were doing art. The art is called geometric art. Geometric art is an animal made with shapes and all the curved lines are turned into straight lines.   

1: We had to draw or sketch a head or a whole body.

2: Then outline it with a black pen.

3: Fill the animal with shapes by using a ruler. 

4: Then colour your art in.  

 I didn't know what to do it and it was hard to find something to draw but I did a boar.

What did you enjoy? I enjoyed drawing my boar and putting the shapes in.  

What did you do well?  I did well by drawing and colouring.

What can you improve on? I can improve by adding more detail in my art.
